We Would Like to Erase a Misconception From the Mind of Many

The curvy woman is not obese. She is not slovenly. She is fit and fierce. She has boundless energy, endurance and is in it to win it. Okay. That’s not every curvy woman but if we were to do a survey to form a statistical base I am fairly certain we would prove out our premise.

It is our personal obligation to be fit, flexible and fierce. No excuses.

You may not have the dollars or the time to be a gym rat but you certainly have the time to get from one place to another on foot. Walking is one of the best whole body exercises there is. I know we have talked about this before so take this as a gentle reminder to get off your butt and on your feet. You should also make it a practice to get up from your desk every 30 minutes or so and just take a stroll around the office or if you are at home make it a point to move around your space or go outside for a few minutes. Movement of any kind is good for your state of mind and for your cardio vascular system as well.

It is our personal obligation to be fit, flexible and fierce.

And when you sit down to eat (always sit down; no more standing at the counter) make it a complete experience. Use a napkin (paper will do but try not to snatch a square off the paper towel roll) which you can use in your lap. Set a place for yourself at the table. It makes you more aware of what you will be eating and make the ritual of a fork and a knife take on the meaning of being alert to not only what you are eating but how much.

No need to prattle on about what you should eat. You already know. My whole point is being alert and aware. You take care of yourself and you will reap the benefits of being healthy and in good shape. That mind and body connection everyone talks about will become a reality. Your mood lifts, with exercise your butt lifts and with activity your sense of self lifts.

So let’s get real.

We know the curvy woman is well rounded, has the so-called ‘meat’ on her bones. No news there. And we all know that curves come in a variety of splendor which makes us interesting and individual. And, we also know that the growing awareness of our good health, fit bodies and positive attitude is just beginning. Soon, the world will know that being bold, beautiful and irresistible really means we are fierce, fabulous and fit.
